Mike Powell (Music instructor/Recording Engineer) I have been an active musician for the past 18 years. In addition to performing and operating my own professional recording studio, I teach between 35-40 students per week. I play acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and sing.

My experience includes the following:

• 10 years as a recording engineer
• 7 years teaching private music lessons
• Attended Shenandoah University (Commercial Music Program): My studies were split between music instruction and audio recording.
• Extensive formal training in classical guitar and jazz
