Music instructor/Recording Engineer

Mike Powell

I have been an active musician for over twenty years. In addition to performing and operating my own professional recording studio, I teach between 30-40 students per week. I play acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and I sing.

My experience includes:

• 20+ years as a recording engineer

• Nearly 20 years teaching private music lessons

• Attended Shenandoah University (Commercial Music Program)

  • My studies were split between music instruction and audio recording

• Extensive formal training in classical guitar and jazz
